To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly broken.
If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully round with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness.
But in that casket — safe, dark, motionless, airless — it will change. It will not be broken. Instead, it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, irredeemable…

I didn’t know you had tumblr. :)
Fantastic blog by the way. Do you take most of the photos yourself?
Here’s some character sketches I’ve been working on. He’s supposed to be a refugee from somewhere in Eastern Europe, but I’m not very fond of any of these outfits. Currently, they’re a rediculously eclectic mix of opposites. I doubt the end product will look anything like one of these.
Oh well, it’s a start at least. Any suggestions?

Forelsket: (Norwegian) The euphoria you experience when you are first falling in love.
i use to have a book that was dedicated to words like this. I’d love them. I’d like one of those “word a day” but in foreign languages.
I have a couple Norwegian friends who were astonished that English only has one word for Love. Very odd considering that one word has so many diverse meanings.
It’s amazing what you can do with fonts.

Ultra rough concept art. :)
83MB PSD at the moment. You can barely see the main character as a scale reference (with the 1024x768 box around him).
How to win concert tickets
levisan:
So my awesome little brother is a fan of TobyMac, who is doing a Christmas concert in Abbotsford, near where I live, in Canada. On Monday, Praise 106.5, the local Christian radio station, decided to give some tickets away on Twitter:

So I payed close attention, and entered the draw:

In the end, after a little searching, I found out that I was the only person who entered, so I won!

Happy (early) birthday, bro!
!! Fantastic.
(I really need to pay more attention next time…)
Fantastic film. I can’t really say that much without giving it away, but it’s beautifully done. It’s full of that barely contained goodness/irresistable joy sort of style Pixar is so good at.

I think nutella and graham crackers was about all I ate for the four days of crunch time this week working on my project.
Excellent choice. Personally, I prefer my graham crackers with peanut butter and chocolate chips. The perfect after work snack.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow, between the crosses, row on row.
If it doesn’t break your heart it isn’t love / If it doesn’t break your heart it’s not enough / It’s when you’re breaking down / With your insides coming out / That’s when you find out what your heart is made of / And you haven’t lost me yet.
